As I walked into the house, I went over and sat on the couch. Zacky had followed me in, but gave me a little room to breathe. I looked over towards Matt who was over by his laptop again with Val. Brian, Jimmy and Johnny all stood around looking at one another, when Matt turned away from the screen.
"Alright...you guys wanna hear a new song?" he asked, smiling widely.
"Yea...play it...." said Jimmy.
I looked over at Matt who opened up a screen on his laptop. Val was looking over his shoulder and smiling. He then clicked the screen.
"Jealousy's an ugly word, but you don't seem to care

Need no one to comply with me though everyone that I defeat

I looked at him blankly as he smiled widely.
"Well what do you guys think?" he asked.
"That was fucking awesome!" yelled Johnny.
"Crazy dude..." said Jimmy, laughing.
"I love it..." smiled Brian.
"Wonderful..." replied Zacky lightly.
I looked at him and saw him looking down at his hands. I sighed lightly when Johnny picked up his bass.
"Let's practice..." he said strumming the strings.
"Why not..." replied Matt, standing up.
I watched as Zacky got up and went over to pick up his guitar. Val came over and took his seat and smiled over at me. I smiled back as they began to practice one of their songs from their first and second albums. They did "Lips Of Deceit" From "Sounding The Seventh Trumpet" and "Unholy Confessions" from "Waking The Fallen" as warm up songs. Zacky didn't seem as into it as usual..which was explainable. Matt seemed a bit worried about it though. After they practiced for about two hours, Johnny, Jimmy and Brian all went out into the drive way to take a smoke. Matt went over to Zacky and talked to him privately for a couple minutes as Val and I tried not to listen in.
"Are you sure Zach?" I overheard Matt ask.
"Yeah..." replied Zacky.
They then both walked over to us and Val stood up. Matt took her hand and they walked outside to where the guys were. Zacky and I were left alone in the basement when I got up to go out.
"Kate..."
I turned slowly towards him, but didn't look at him. He came over and lifted my chin. I tried hard not to look into his eyes, but his eyes were so memorizing I couldn't look away. He smiled and just stared at me.
"Zacky..." I started.
"Kate listen...Matt explained everything to me about how your parents don't like me, especially your mom, and how they don't like his and Val's relationship..."
I looked at him a bit shocked, yet relieved.
"It doesn't matter what your parents don't like...I love you...and that kind of a stunt that just went down...it's in the past."
"Zacky...that means so much to me and for you to say that you love me...thats just phenomenal. I love you as much as you love me...always have." I smiled.
He then leaned in and kissed my cheek. I wrapped my arms around him and held him tight. He did the same and smiled.
"Hey...you two coming out or..." said Brian, poking his head into the room.
"Yeah...we're coming..." replied Zacky.
"Good...cuz I have someone I want you to meet.." he smiled.
